About Pastor Paul W. Davis

photo01Pastor Paul W. Davis has been an ordained elder in the Church of God in Christ (COGIC) since 1983 and is a graduate of Clark College Indianapolis, Indiana. Before becoming the senior pastor at Greater All Nations Tabernacle COGIC, he worked faithfully under the leadership of Elder Farries H. Morrison, Sr. at Prayer Wheel COGIC from 1978-2001. At Prayer Wheel, Pastor Davis held various positions: assistant pastor, Sunday school teacher, YPWW teacher, trustee board president, deacon, usher, choir member and new converts class coordinator. In 2001, Pastor Davis was called to Greater All Nations Tabernacle COGIC. Since he has been at Greater All Nations Tabernacle, he has developed and organized many ministries that have been beneficial to the church body and the community. For instance, HIV/AIDS, Singles Ministry, Youth Ministry, Sick and Shut-in, Health Ministry, Performance Arts, and Human Resource. In addition, Pastor Davis has presented and hosted many workshops on Christian living, values and principles. In the Central Illinois Jurisdictional, he has worked as Ordination Board chair, Public Relations president, Program Committee member, Finance Committee member, and Executive Board to the Bishop. In the T. T. Rose District, he has served as the Assistant Superintendent and Financial Expeditor. For his unselfish and untiring work in the community, Pastor Davis has been awarded many civic awards: Springfield NAACP Volunteer of the Year Award, Springfield Urban League Community Faith Based Award and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Community Health Leader Award Nominee. Finally, Pastor Davis is married to Theresa R. Davis, and they are the parents of five children: Adrean, Demetrius, Jonathan, Jayla, and Joel.
